Hi there friends.
Sorry that I have been lazy about posting on my blog. Life has been busy and exciting and often there just isn't time to sit at the computer and write about my comings and goings. Lately I have been accepting invitations to events that normally I would have been loath to attend. I am trying to expand my mind and in so doing have met interesting people and been exposed to things that I may have judged as being weird. For example, last weekend I was invited to a performance art installation put on by a friend of my brother's. I went not knowing what to expect and had no clue who would even there. When I arrived at the venue which was in a very funky old warehouse I was given an old fashioned painters smock to put on over my clothes plus a French beret complete with an oversized pom pom. After I was attired I walked into another large room and saw about fifty people all dressed in smocks and berets too. I grabbed a beverage from the hot bartender and stood near the wall feeling a tiny bit uncomfortable. Fortunately I recognized one of the girls from my gym and we chatted about how weird this whole thing seemed. After about 15 minutes a very good looking guy walked in dressed in a fluffy robe and proceeded to explain what was going to happen next. We were going to have our portraits painted by him while he was completely naked! Well this was going to be very interesting. Sure enough the artist disrobed and proceeded to walk around the venue sketching portraits of us. Did I mention that he was very good looking? I didn't know where to look but I can tell you that I did take a few long looks at his manhood and was very impressed. He walked up to me and drew my picture very quickly and handed the portrait to me. On the bottom right corner was his signature as well as his phone number. Well that was cheeky but actually pretty cool. After about an hour he left the room and we were asked to remove our smocks and berets. On his return, he was dressed in a beautiful suit and he came over to me with a glass of wine. Well we ended up back at my place and had an amazing time. My new mantra: Say yes to things that are out of my comfort zone! Scarlett
